In a time of COVID, it’s inevitable that there will be some changes to the advertised WORD Christchurch Festival 2022. We will post any changes to this page. Please accept our sincere apologies for any disappointment or disruption caused.
Matariki: Stories and Stars: Rangi Matamua is sadly no longer able to attend, but we’re delighted that Māori astronomer, storyteller and educator Victoria Campbell, one of the key people behind the new national holiday, will take his place.
Stardust Cabaret: This event begins at 7.30pm. Please note that the printed programme incorrectly shows the start as 7.00pm.
He Waiata Hou: Tina Makereti and Karlo Mila are sadly no longer able to attend. They will be replaced by Victor Roger, esteemed playwright and leader of the Māori and Pasifika creative writing workshop at the International Institute of Modern Letters.
