Sara Qasem is a high school teacher, spoken word poet, humanitarian and fiercely proud Palestinian living in Ōtautahi, Christchurch. An animal lover, Sara also loves the outdoors. While her work is deeply personal, she hopes it can be a vehicle to carry important unspoken messages within society. Sara says poetry is her solace, something she loves to share.
